Bear Creek Trail
DescriptionBear Creek Trail path

The Bear Creek Trail is an off road bike trail that goes from Bear Creek Park and runs along Bear Creek to Hampden Ave.  It includes scenic views of the mountains.

The Route

You can catch the path from the west near C-470 and Morrison road.  From the east you can start the path from the South Platte Trail.

Difficulty

The path is mostly flat and sheltered from the wind, but it is very curvy sometimes which slows you down.  Also, if you are riding west on it their is a climb up over the Bear Creek dam.

Hazards

Although the path is narrow and sometimes curvy it rarely has much traffic.  It crosses a couple of intersections, but nothing too dangerous.  There are a couple of blind underpasses that could be very dangerous.

Overall Rating:

The path can be scenic with views of the foothills in Bear Creek park.  Although there no danger from traffic it is very curvy in areas.
