The Route

Start in Leadville and ride North on Highway 91, climbing over Fremont Pass.  As you near Wheeler Junction near I-70 make a right on the Ten Mile Canyon bike path and ride it all the way into Frisco.

Hazards

The shoulder narrows and the traffic increases as you near Wheeler Junction near the bike path.  Also, be careful on the Ten Mile Canyon Bike path because it can be very crowded on weekends.

Overall Rating: 4 stars

You might want to take a camera on this ride as you will see some beautiful Colorado mountain scenery.  You may also want to bring some oxygen due to the high elevation which makes it primarily a summer only route.  Even the polluted lakes are scenic on this ride (See above).
