DescriptionThis ride is a challenging scenic 55 mile route that runs through Deer Creek Canyon, Parmalee Gulch, Evergreen, Genesee, Red Rocks, Morrison, and the Ken Caryl valley. It takes you through so many different areas it had to be called the Tour of the Foothills. |

HazardsThere are many dangers on this long route including the heavy traffic along Highway 74, riding along I-70, and the heavy traffic and small shoulder along Highway 26. |

The RouteStart from Deer Creek Canyon Rd. on Wadsworth and ride west until you reach S. Turkey Creek Rd. Make a right and ride down past Tiny Town until you hit Highway 285. Make a right and ride for a short distance before making a left on Parmalee Gulch Rd. Take Parmalee Gulch Rd. to Highway 74. and turn left. Ride west up Highway 74 through Evergreen and continue on as it merges onto Interstate 70 heading east. Take I-70 until exit 254 and cross over to Highway 40. Then take Highway 40 down to Highway 26 and make a right heading south through the Red Rocks area. After you hit Morrison make a right going up Highway 74 a little ways until Highway 8 and turn left. Go south on upHighway 8, then veer off left on Willow Springs Rd. going under Highway 285. Follow Willow Springs Rd. until you hit a round about with an emergency access dirt road on the left. Cross the dirt road to Black Bear Ln. Follow Black Bear Ln until N. Ranch Rd. and make a right. Follow it around and then make another right on W. Ken Caryl Ave. Take it to Valley Parkway and turn right. Follow Valley Parkway around to S. Valley Rd. and turn right. Take S. Valley Rd. back down to Deer Creek Canyon Rd., turn left and head back.
